Otolaryngologist
Meet Dr. Joel Franco
Dr. Joel Franco is a board certified Otolaryngologist specializing in Rhinology/Sinonasal disorders as well as general ent.
He was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and obtained a bachelors of science degree from the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Franco then obtained a master’s degree in medical
sciences from Mississippi College and ultimately a medical degree from Indiana University
where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. During his rigorous 5-year residency in
Otolaryngology at Saint Louis University he developed a passion for allergy and sinonasal
diseases leading him to pursue an additional year of fellowship training at the University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery. He enjoys spending time with
friends and family, working out and mixed martial arts, and various outdoor activities.
Dr. Franco enjoys working with patients in treating all aspects of ear nose and throat diseases and can provide an even higher level of care in treating allergy and sinus disorders given his fellowship specialty training. He is also fluent in Spanish (se habla espanol) should a language barrier be of concern.
Lastly, Dr. Franco is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American Rhinologic Society, and the North American Skull Base Society as well as the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies.
