Meet Dr. Hashmi
Dr. Hassan Hashmi is a distinguished general and colorectal surgeon with exceptional expertise and compassionate care. With comprehensive training in robotic, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and open surgical techniques, Dr. Hashmi is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. Dr. Hashmi completed his general surgery residency at the renowned NYU Langone Long Island, New York, where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of surgical procedures. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the prestigious Lehigh Valley Health Network, Pennsylvania, further honing his skills and deepening his knowledge in the field of colorectal surgery.
Dr. Hashmi specializes in minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques, ensuring that his patients benefit from reduced recovery times and optimal outcomes. His areas of expertise include the treatment of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, and anorectal disorders. He is also proficient in performing all types of general surgery procedures including surgeries for stomach, small intestine, gallbladder and hernias. Dr. Hashmi is also adept at performing complex abdominal surgeries, offering a full spectrum of care to his patients. In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Hashmi is known for his compassionate approach and dedication to patient-centered care. He takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and concerns, working collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans that ensure the best possible results.
Dr. Hashmi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. His commitment to ongoing education and research keeps him at the forefront of surgical advancements, allowing him to provide cutting-edge treatments to his patients. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Hashmi is passionate about education and mentorship, often participating in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons.
