Dr. Angel J. Rivera Aponte is a General Surgeon with specialized expertise in Minimally Invasive and Weight Loss Surgery (MIS/Bariatrics).
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Rivera Aponte brings a unique blend of cultural understanding and surgical precision to his practice. After earning his undergraduate degree at Duke University, he pursued medical school in Puerto Rico, completed surgical training in Las Vegas, and honed his skills during a fellowship in MIS/Bariatrics at Jackson Memorial in Miami.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Rivera Aponte is dedicated to empowering patients through personalized, compassionate care. By utilizing advanced surgical techniques, he prioritizes faster recovery, minimal pain, and life-changing results. Credentialed at top hospitals in Las Vegas, he works with most insurance plans to ensure quality care is accessible to all.
